About Us
Built in the Bakken, for the Bakken
Bakken Coating & Construction is a coatings and construction contractor serving Minot and surrounding areas — protecting steel, concrete, and buildings that have to survive hard use and harder winters.
Our Story
Started on the job site
We started with a compressor, a blast pot, and a short list of operators who needed work done right the first time. That list grew because we did what we said we would do — and because we never treated surface prep as the part of the job you rush.
Today our crews handle everything from tank batteries and bridge steel to warehouse floors, office repaints, and full facility builds. The scope changed. The standard didn't.
Because we self-perform blasting, coatings, painting, and construction, clients get one contract, one schedule, and one company answering the phone when something changes in the field.

Client Feedback
What our clients say
“Mike and his crew are time conscious, have great housekeeping, flexible to work with and around other schedules or contractors. We are very pleased with the ceiling rafter painting that provides a classy affordable option to expensive drop ceilings and other expenses related to that option. As a building owner we are sensitive to liability and quality of work and we have and remain, very pleased with Bakken Blasting and Coating. Highly recommended.”
